Manufacturing Technology: Mammalian Cell Culture (BTBS836)


The course emphasizes the industrial bioreactor culture of Mammal cells. It focus on parameter of cell culture, cells nutrient and media constituents, feed strategies in order to induce optimum protein concentration, minimizing toxic buy products. At the bioreactor level it considered the parameters that affect the cell growth. The course focus in small scale cell production, wave bioreactor, seed train bioreactors to scale-up bioreactor. The course considered protein expression, cell cycle, posttranslational glycosilation, and protein secretion into the medium, prevention of protein degradation, harvesting, cell removal and filtration.
